Mattresses are listed separately with an indicative 2029 adoption timeline. Neither planning year is a universal compliance deadline; the final measures will define scope, data, passport level, verification and application dates.

Not through a universal furniture obligation today. The ESPR framework requires a product-specific measure to define scope, requirements, passport level and application dates.
The ESPR Working Plan gives 2028 as the indicative timeline for adopting the furniture measure. It is not a blanket compliance deadline for every furniture product.
Mattresses are listed separately in the Working Plan with an indicative 2029 adoption timeline. Manufacturers should therefore keep mattress scope and requirements distinct even if they reuse the same data platform.
The final mandatory dataset is not fixed. Useful readiness domains include identity, materials and components, supplier evidence, substances, durability, repair, disassembly, environmental information and end-of-life guidance.
Not necessarily. ESPR can establish passports at model, batch or item level, and the furniture delegated act will determine the required level. A flexible architecture should relate all three.
